Once you’ve bottomed out the top level details of your event (the where, when, and who), it’s time for one of our favourite parts… the event styling! This is the bit we get most excited about and we’re constantly hunting down new ideas. We look for inspiration everywhere we go, and here are some of our recent finds…
- Taylor Swift Eras Tour
We are now fully fledged Swifties! WHAT. A. NIGHT. We loved the way the stage was designed to fully transform between sets. The projected floor was magical and this could be such a cool feature at an event - perhaps running the length of the marquee as a catwalk. As you’d expect, there were incredible special effects throughout the show, from moving platforms to pyrotechnics and confetti cannons. These help add such drama to a live event and we love adding in some special effects to our festivals!
- Glastonbury
Ok, we didn’t actually make it in this year, BUT had a great time looking through the many, many photos (with a touch of FOMO!). We love the way they styled old vehicles with trailing green foliage. It made us think about finding some more derelict festival sites and turning them into something beautiful. And of course we’re always a sucker for some gorgeous bunting and hanging lanterns!
- Holidaying in the Algarve
One thing I will always remember about this trip is the beautiful flowers everywhere! Climbing up walls and across the tops of windows and doors; the vibrant pink, red and orange blooms were breathtaking. And it got me thinking about how we could use this for our events. Trellis entrances, flowers trailing down the fronts of bars, overflowing baskets hanging from marquees…
